Fair for all
The whole Amarla team is committed to being a fair and commercially ethical entity. 10% of every item sold goes towards supporting the indigenous communities from La Guajira and La Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta where the bags are made. In addition to this, we aim to preserve all parts of their culture while we offer the opportunity of dignified employment in some of the most underdeveloped areas of Colombia
Each Amarla piece has a history and a purpose
Your Amarla purchase promotes a healthy economy and generates a secure income for the artisans we work in Wayuu, Kankuamo and Arhuaca communities. We want you to feel confident that when you buy from us, your money is going to a good cause.
When you buy an Amarla piece you will not just be supporting the economy of these communities. You will be helping to build schools for the children in the communities. We direct a portion of the support to a fund for building a schoolhouse in each community we work with
