Oval Bag

This Bag is 100% handmade. They’re wonderfully unique, no two bags are identical. There can be slight differences in the size and color of each bag. They are made from Ata Grass. This grass is different from Rattan which is more common. It is a stronger longer lasting material that can be woven into tighter and more organised patterns. After the bags are woven they are dried in the sun for several days. After drying these bags are heated over smouldering coconut husks to set and strength the material. It also gives the bags their beautiful golden color. The bags finished with the addition of a linen lining, a leather strap and a snap button closure.
